The SURGIFOAM® Absorbable Gelatin Sponge is a sterile, water-insoluble, malleable sponge made from porcine gelatin. It is designed for hemostasis in surgical procedures when control of capillary, venous, and arteriolar bleeding by pressure, ligature, or other conventional procedures is ineffective or impractical. This sponge measures 8cm x 6.25cm x 10mm.
